Regional Projects
Environmental Management Consultants staff have been responsible for designing and delivering a variety of regional environmental management projects:
Thames Water's Water Efficiency Programme (2010 - present)
Environmental Management Consultants staff work with Thames Water, the UK's largest water company, to develop and implement a programme of water efficiency projects and services to Thames Water's customers. This work help to reduce water demand by at least 5 million litres per day in the year to April 2011.
Sustain Lincolnshire (2011)
Environmental Management Consultants provide project management services to help improve the delivery of this £500,000 environmental business support project
Wigan Borough Council's regeneration projects
Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council is one of England’s largest districts. Environmental Management Consultants staff supported the council’s regeneration team by designing and commissioning regeneration schemes including environmental business support schemes and environmental management innovation grant schemes. The work was targeted so as to provide support to all sectors of the local economy from local businesses, social enterprises, voluntary and community groups.
Regeneration Gateway (2004 - 2006)
This £1.2 million project provided environmental business support and community support services. The project provided specialist community advice and guidance to members of the public as part of a wider package of environmental support services.
Environmental Enterprise in North East Lincolnshire (2003 - 2005)
This £500,000 project assisted more than 60 organisations develop new environmental services and products and improve their resource efficiency. 36 jobs were created. The project was delivered in partnership with Business Link Humber and the Environment Agency and was completed 6 months ahead of schedule.
Community Environmental Support in North East Lincolnshire (2002 - 2003)
This £200,000 structurally funded voluntary sector support project assisted more than 40 organisations and helped to create number of jobs in the beneficiary organisations.
County Renewables Project (2002 - 2004)
County Renewables provided support to rural communities to develop, raise funds for and then implement projects that benefit rural communities and the countryside in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. County Renewables developed projects resulting in agricultural diversification and the regeneration of rural areas.
Empowering Residents Through Design
This award winning £100,000 project successfully engaged with the target community and facilitated the creation of a number of community led neighbourhood improvement initiatives that continued after the project ended. The project trialled a method of community engagement designed to facilitate community led regeneration activities.
Environmental Benchmarking in North East Lincolnshire (2000 - 2003)
This £300,000 structurally funded business support project assisted more than 70 organisations and helped to create more than 30 jobs.Water Management in the Food Industry (1998 - 2000)
This £300,000 project assisted more than 30 Humberside based food companies reduce their water management costs
